Thoughts on Organizing

I've discovered that for organizing stuff, there's a sweet-spot in terms of container space, where divisions are not so small I feel I have to find a specific location for Every Single Thing (which takes forever and is unmaintainable), but not so big I have to dump the whole container out and sift through it piece by piece to find an item. Unfortunately the ideal size varies by type of item, but I've found the bins for Kallax shelf units from Ikea are a good size for a lot of stuff, and the units look nice. I'm in the process of sewing up some smaller bags and whatnot for things that need a better level of organization than that - like my crochet hooks, which inevitably require me dumping out my whole bag of fiber arts tools to find.
