Interest Check - nib holders
I mentioned that I bought a mini lathe (still pending set up downstairs...). One of the first thing I'd like to try to make is dip pen nib holders, because frankly like 90% of the available ones are boring at best and actively bad at worst (the paint started to chip off my current Brause one after <10 uses).
Initial runs will probably be like, cost of materials + shipping, and I'm planning on getting these stainless steel nib inserts and probably starting off with some like, 'get ten random blanks for $15' type deals.

Oblique nib holders

I actually had to look up what it means, and then read some calligraphy websites to find out what oblique means in this context. Now I can answer your poll. Success?! :D
I feel like wood is awesome, but hard to work? Resin feels much easier - maybe combine the two?

I will be honest, I am not entirely sure what 'oblique' means in terms of calligraphy but I do know that it is a nib holder type that is offered, and that I can buy inserts in that style for making pens XD
Wood has the disadvantage of not being uniform in consistency all the way through, yeah, but I'm going to end up experimenting with it sooner or later anyway, so relatively simple pen bodies is probably a good place to start.
