the car and a big convention at the beginning of September meant I
overspent my budget and had to yoink half the money back out again, and I'm
still trying to get it back where it was.
I think our C-suite (or equiv, given someone else owns us) is somewhat less
queer than some parts of the company, but it's still very diverse - only
two white dudes on a leadership team of eight - and the upper levels of R&D
are deffo very queer. There was some concerns because the company that
bought us out just got bought out by Broadcomm, who's track record on
LGBTQ+ issues is mediocre at best, and the general sentiment among old
timers was 'we're here, we're queer, and Broadcomm's just going to have to
fucking get used to it', which is to say, we protect our own.
